Compact stand design
M247 would be working with a relatively compact stand at their event and wanted to maximise ROI with the space available. The game became a central feature of the design, with graphics to promote both the game and the prizes up for grabs.
There were a few setup options available, but in the end the game was displayed on a large monitor screen connected to a laptop hidden beneath the stand. Visitors could then play using a gamepad controller, with a separate keyboard to allow players to easily submit their score to the leaderboard.
As Annabel Seward, Marketing Executive at M247, said: “The fact that the games were flexible to different types of hardware was an attractive point to us, as we had to work with what we had.”
Before and during the event
In the lead-up to the exhibition, the team used the game as a unique talking point to invite contacts on LinkedIn and in their email database to meet with them at the show.
When the event came around, the game provided a fun and interactive element that could also capture data in addition to the team’s badge scanners – ultimately generating a greater number of leads overall.
Speaking about how the game worked as an event engagement tool, Annabel said: “It was great because there was a lot of atmosphere around the stand when it was busy, and it looked excellent!”
