Beazley clients found a jetpack in their Christmas cards this year!
Insurance brokers Beazley haven’t sent ordinary Christmas cards for the past few years. Instead they’ve opted for something a little more interactive. Each year they’d send a game as a fun festive treat, and now the pressure was on to come up with something new.
Beazley had already been working with Peek & Poke (then Team Cooper) for a few years, so we were the first call when they needed a team to help them come up with new online game to delight their brokers in the wind-down to the holiday break.
Brokers are busy bees, working away even as other industries are closing down ‘til the New Year and Beazley wanted to reflect that hard-work and dedication in a light-hearted way. That in mind, they came to us with a brief and we got our heads down to cook up a Christmas caper.

Putting the broker as the star of the show, we had our hero go above and beyond the call of duty by donning his jet pack and delivering policies even as the rest of the world was tucked up into bed on Christmas Eve.
Beazley wanted something that would be quick to pick-up-and-play for their busy recipients to play in their quieter moments that could also help them track their progress against their colleagues across the industry. To do this they requested leaderboard where players could input their company as well as their name to help stir up the competition!
To make sure the game was only accessible to the target audience, we took out the social sharing functionality and hosted the game on Beazley’s behalf on its own URL that they could send out to the target recipients directly as part of their Christmas mailing campaign.
As brokers would potentially be accessing the game on the move, we made sure almost everyone could play the game, whether on mobile devices or older desktop browsers.
The game went down a treat with Beazley brokers and achieved great results. Our little jetpack-toting broker travelled nearly as much as Santa with uptake on the game reported across 38 countries during the four week campaign.
And the best present of all? Beazley could just set the ball rolling and rely on us to handle the rest, reducing the Christmas-stress on their side and helping them get into the festive spirit along with their target audience! “The team was extremely proactive – identifying issues, critiquing their own ideas and building on them even before we got around to it – meaning we didn’t have to do any of it.
