12 New Games and Service Upgrades

For the past year or so we’ve been collecting feedback from our clients on various aspects of our games and service. We noticed a few common threads and requests, so I’m writing this to tell you about the changes we’ve made and the new things we’re up to.

I’ll cover some new features, upcoming Christmas (and non-Christmas) games, and a competition (woo!), so get a cup of tea and get comfy, we’ve got a lot to cover…

New Weekly & Annual Ready-to-go Campaign Tiers

Up until now, our Ready-to-go games have come with licence lengths of either 1 or 3 months (depending on the package you’d chosen) but often we’re asked if these can be changed. Some of you have wanted extended licences, and some of you have said you’d like to be able to run smaller, quick campaigns during the year for your customers.

To help with this, we’re separating out the game licence periods from the packages, meaning you’ll be able to get more value out of your campaign budget, however long you want to run it for.

Certain games will now be available with 1-week licences for quick, cost-effective campaigns.

Plus, most games will also have a 12-month licence option, allowing you to run your game at multiple events or continuously as part of your lead nurturing or customer reward journeys.

A 12-month multi-game licence is also available on request in either Essential or Standard packages.

New Standard Package Features – Now Live!

We’ve recently finished rolling out a raft of useful features for games in the Standard package tier and above. Some of these have been available with our Tailored service for quite some time, but we’ve now baked the functionality into our systems for our RTG service too.

An additional data collection field

By far the most asked-for thing has been the ability to add one more data collection field, so now you can! And that’s not all, you’ll also be able to make it a drop-down field to help promote data consistency. Phew!

Add a thank-you message or custom call-to-action

We’re sometimes asked if we can add in a “thanks for submitting your score” message or another call-to-action to a supporting campaign URL, so we’ve added a new post-submission message panel in case you want to do just that.

Add an offer code

As well as saying “thanks” to players, the post-submission panel can alternatively be used to reveal an offer code. This will allow you to easily run a fun promotion that helps encourage customers to come back and buy again.

Webhooks for CRM and other integrations

If you’re building your game into your lead nurturing or customer aftercare journeys, you’ll probably want to be able to report back to your CRM as and when your contact has played it.

Likewise, if you’re running a social campaign with an offer code, you might also want to email any new leads collected with a follow up message featuring your best selling products or service.

The newly added webhook calls mean your dev team can connect your game directly to your marketing systems. Alternatively, you can use a no-code automation tool like Zapier or Make to connect it to pretty much any other service you can imagine.

Standalone leaderboard mode

This isn’t actually a new feature, we’ve just not been very good at telling people about it. But if you want to feature a separate leaderboard for your game campaign, perhaps in an iframe on your website, or on a big screen at your event or expo, you can!

As if that wasn’t enough, we’ve been hard at work creating some new versions of our existing games, with some new ones to boot too!

Each of these is at a different stage of production, but they should be ready in the following order…

New Flyer Game – City Booster (Now Live!)

Our Flyer game is one of our best-sellers year after year, so we’ve put together this simple version to help with campaigns all year round. Learn more about City Booster.

New Bouncer Game – Bio Buster (Now Live!)

A new version of our engaging Bouncer game, intended for campaigns with bio-tech, bacteria, viral or sanitation themes. Learn more about Bio Buster.

New Racer Game – Data Racer (Coming Soon)

Techy audiences love our racing game, so it seemed appropriate that we put together a tech-themed version just for them.

Customisable Questions for the Super Quiz (Coming Soon)

Our devious Super Quiz is great for all sorts of players (especially at events & expos). Unfortunately, it’s not been a great fit for many of you for one pretty big reason – the questions and categories aren’t editable.

However, we’re currently in the process of fixing that! You’ll soon be able to choose from a bank of questions for each category, edit them as you like, or write an entirely new set yourself.

So if you’ve ever wanted to create a highly-engaging interactive quiz to test your audience on their knowledge of Flux-Capacitors, Imperial Star Destroyers or the funniest passages from the Necronomicon, now you can. Quiztastic!

New Runner Game – Winter Sprinter (Expected Q3)

Although pretty much everyone loves playing a runner game, not ALL brands are keen on a Christmas-themed game during the festive season. We’re putting together this winter-themed version just for them.

Brand New Game #1 – Christmas Skiing Game (Expected Q3)

We realised we’re long overdue a new Christmas game, so at the beginning of this year we vowed to create a new bundle of digital joy for you to share with your clients.

It’s a Santa-themed Skiing game inspired by the ZX Spectrum classic “Horace goes Skiing” and will be similar in scope to our Runner & Flyer games.

Brand New Game #2 – Fun-sized Football Game (Expected Q4)

Finally, by the end of this year we hope we’ll have finished our new Football game. In hindsight, we may have let our ambition get the better of us on this one, but I’m sure it will be worth it. It won’t be ready for the Euros this year, but it’s going to have a two-player mode which will make it BRILLIANT for taking to expos and events. I’m hoping we’ll be able to demo it at the B2B Expo in November – perhaps we’ll see you there?
